Please sign up for an assessment time on August 29 for us to meet you and your furry partner. Class will be limited to 8 participants. For this class, dogs must have some knowledge of basic commands. Contact Pat White at pat_white@sbcglobal.net for more information or to signup
Requirements:
1. Dog must be at least one year old and have lived with you for a minimum of 6 months.
2. Dog must have current rabies vaccination.
3. Owner/handler must be a minimum of 16 years old and only one handler/dog.
4. Team must attend all classes (on time) and will commit to training between classes at least 15 minutes daily (can be done in a variety of ways and does not have to be all at one time).
5. Dogs cannot be people or dog aggressive, nor overly excited (excessive barking, pulling or verbal) in the presence of strangers or other dogs.
6. Dogs must have some understanding of basic commands: sit, stay, come when called, down, leave it and loose leash walking. We will review and practice in classes to fine tune what they already know.
7. Your team will be expected to complete a Pet Partners evaluation within a year of completing this training. See www.petpartners.org for more information on the evaluation process.
